Miss Martin!!

I am right now in VAPA (it's a Bennington thing--a giant labrynth dedicated to art of all kinds, theater is intertwined with dance studios and painting and drawing and woodshop and metal workings, it's CRAZY, you can get so lost).

I'm actually with another Martin at the moment. Hah, how about that. She's pretty awesome, must be a Martin thing. She's doing architecture, and I'm just causing trouble. As always.

I miss you so much, you punk. My e-mail address is now the very official "avorce@bennington.edu". You should e-mail. All my Batman stamps have run dry. But I do have some Curious George and Very Hungry Caterpillar stamps. Hee-yah.

I can tell you about my painting class. My teacher is kind of a fruitcake in the Socks-parker tradition, but she really likes me for some reason. I talk total crap and she gets into it. God I love art teachers.

I finally did read some Keroauc, The Dharma Bums. I'm not sure about him. I really like some of his ideas and his really passionate use of language, but for the most part the seems pretty flaky and is so invested in the idea that nothing in this life matters. Like it's all just irrelevant. I hate that. I don't know why. But I hate that. Maybe I'm just mushy and sentimental. Yeah. Pretty much.

Some people try and call me a hippie. Pff. I'll take beatnick anyday.
